(Updates) Two-Minute Turnaround: Jaguars Face JV Season Opener & Monday Reschedule Before Friday Showdown

After Friday’s game was pushed to Monday, the Jaguars prepare for a tight turnaround with JV and Varsity overlapping before another big varsity matchup at week’s end.

The West Florida Jaguars are calling on fans as the team adjusts to a quick turnaround. After Friday’s postponement, the varsity showdown against the Escambia Gators has been rescheduled for Monday, August 25 at 7:00 PM, overlapping with the JV team’s matchup against the Washington Wildcats at 5:30 PM.

The busy week will conclude with a season highlight—West Florida’s first home game of the season as the varsity Jaguars host the Washington Wildcats on Friday, August 29 at 7:00 PM. This marks the perfect opportunity for Jag Nation to fill the stands and celebrate the team’s home debut after a demanding start to the season.

Coaches have made preparations that will set up our Jags for success. Updates to the Game day information will be made as soon as it is made available to ensure the Jag Nation is ready. The West Florida Athletic Director, Todd Leonard, expressed the following:

As the Jaguar AD, I am excited about the tremendous atmosphere that I see within the Student Body and the Jaguar Community at this time.  I appreciate the flexible attitude that everyone has shown regarding the Season Opener against Escambia!  Let’s have a tremendous showing Monday night and cheer our Jaguars on to Victory!

We can’t wait to see the stands packed with black and red as we fight through this big week together. Three games, one week, and one goal—showing what West Florida football is all about.

• Ticket Info: Fans who purchased tickets for last Friday’s game should simply pull up the original ticket to be scanned at the gate. These have already been transferred to the new date.

• Ticket Issues: If there are problems, show the Friday purchase receipt at the gate.

• Visitor Parking: Enter from 65th Avenue, $3 cash
