Don't Forget: West Florida Jaguars Kick Off Season with Red & Black Game

The energy is building at West Florida High School as the Jaguars gear up for their annual Red & Black Game this Friday, August 8 at 6:00 PM. This event will give fans a first look at the 2025 Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams.

This summer, Jaguar players have shown remarkable commitment both on and off the field. Since the school year ended, the team has been hard at work in strength and conditioning sessions, refining their skills through individual training, college football camps, and team events across the region.

The Jaguars participated in multiple 7-on-7 tournaments and Big Man challenges, providing valuable experience and exposure for both skill players and linemen. With fall practices that began July 28, the team is already showing signs of strong chemistry, focus, and grit.

Our players have really taken ownership of their development this offseason. They’ve been showing up, working hard, and pushing each other to get better. That dedication is what we want this community to see Friday night.

The Red & Black Game is more than just a scrimmage — it’s a celebration of the team’s hard work and a chance for the community to rally behind their student-athletes before the season begins.

• Admission is $5 cash at the gate OR a donation of detergent, peanut butter, jelly, or small Gatorade packs.

• Concessions will be hosted by the Jaguar Band

• Jag Gear will be available at the Spirit Shack

• No parking Fee

What's Next...

The Jaguars won't have long to wait for their first test of the season. Their Kickoff Classic is scheduled for Thursday, August 14 at 7:00 PM at Pace High School.
